About Karl

The money is being raised for Karl Hundtofte of Council Bluffs. He is battling for his life, fighting cancer and going through chemotherapy & radiation. He is married and has three children ages 2-6. Below is some basic information about the family's financial situation, but you can read their entire story at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/karlh.

Karl, age 39, worked as an engineer for the City of Omaha. Due to his cancer, all salary and medical coverage ended for him December 22, 2009. He will start receiving disability in February, but they will only receive 60% of his previous salary, and they are now paying for medical coverage on his wife and kids out of pocket at a cost of $700 a month.

As you can imagine, it is hard to watch loved ones battle cancer. It is even harder when you know their financial stability is being lost with the illness. If you are looking to help someone in need, please consider this raffle. Your contribution will make a difference, and you also get the chance to take home a sharp looking bike. Feel free to share this information with others.
